TELL CONGRESS TO FIX THE HIGHWAY TRUST FUND – IN PERSON

Registration is now open for the annual Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-In, May 10-11. Although a multi-year highway bill was signed into law in December, this year’s event will be pivotal to making Congress understand that the job is not done. Our country cannot afford to wait five years to consider future funding options for the Highway Trust Fund, and Congress must coalesce around new sources of revenue now.
This year’s fly-in in will again be held just steps from Capitol Hill at the Hyatt Regency Washington, 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C. Register for the TCC Fly-In and reserve a hotel room at $329 per night by calling 1-800-421-1442 or 202-737-1234.
The Highway Materials Group (HMG) will also hold their second annual meeting before the Fly-In from 10 a.m. to noon on May 10 at the Hyatt Regency. The HMG works to bring the voice of the construction materials sector to the surface transportation reauthorization debate. NSSGA a member of the group and joined by the American Coal Ash Association, American Concrete Pavement Association, American Traffic Safety Services Association, Associated Equipment Distributors, Association of Equipment Manufacturers, Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, National Asphalt Pavement Association, National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association and the Portland Cement Association.
