KRMCA Technical & Quality Control Committee Special Meeting

The KRMCA TQC Committee will hold a Special Meeting to discuss the impacts, to the Ready Mixed Concrete industry, of the new KDOT Special Provisions for Course Aggregate in concrete. 

Particularly with respect to the identification and handling of course aggregate at the plant.  Currently, KDOT is proposing to limit the the type of course aggregate used in mixes provided by RMC plants to Quartzite or Granite.

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss various options an develop an industry response to this proposal.  We are striving to have a draft response on or around September 4th in order to have feed back from KDOT at our regular September 18th meeting.
