Performance of concrete is not always achieved. The problems encountered can range from error in materials, batching, mixture proportioning, finishing, curing and failure to properly characterize the service environment. Dr. MacDonald will review causes and diagnosis of concrete problems, concentrating on architectural concrete and flatwork. The presentation will review the steps that can be taken at each step in the construction process to reduce the problems encountered.
