MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND REGISTER TODAY
Greetings KAPA members,
Again this year our association will partner with the "other" KAPA (Kansas Asphalt Pavement Association) in holding the mid-summer meeting in Breckenridge, CO, July 26-28.
Dan Scherschligt, KAPA Executive Director, has provided the following details on the meeting:
Final arrangements have been made for our summer meeting in Colorado. The meeting begins with a welcome reception on Thursday, July 26, and concludes the evening of Saturday, July 28. This year's meeting will again be in Breckenridge, we are essentially moving to the other side of Maggie Pond. The event will be at Main Street Station, which is a Wyndham vacation rental property. The address is 505 South Main Street, Breckenridge, Colorado, 80424.
This will be a great time to catch up with all our members/partners in the asphalt and aggregate business with the bonus of having our families spend time in beautiful Colorado. We are looking forward to this great venue. As you will notice from the agenda there is plenty of family time mixed in with business. The agenda, meeting details, and registration information is at our website, www.ksasphalt.com.
A little different from an "asphalt" presentation at our Friday morning meeting, Ty Ortiz who is a rock slide expert from Colorado DOT will be giving a presentation on mountain rock slides. Following is a link to a recent news article about what Ty does. https://www.vaildaily.com/news/its-rockslide-season-and-states-hazard-team-is-using-some-new-technology/
Room Reservation Information
For your room reservation, call (855) 222-7678. We have a block of rooms reserved for our group at the negotiated price. Upon making the room reservation, a one night deposit is required. Minimum stay of 2 nights. The toll free number is unique to our group. Typically at this resort a deposit of 58% of your total stay is due at reservation, but we have negotiated that down, so make sure when you call they know you are with the KAPA group. The deposit is refundable up to the July 9 cut-off date, and at that time the remaining room balance will charged to your account. Reservations can be made on a space available basis beyond July 9. As we have experienced in previous years, the rooms fill up fast, so the sooner you make your reservation, the better.
Thanks and looking forward to seeing you in Colorado!
Dan
Dan's group is handling the registration process again this year and can be done at www.ksasphalt.com.
