KU LTAP/KRMCA Concrete Road & Street Maintenance Seminar

About the Course: This course presents the practices of designing, constructing, and rehabilitating concrete pavements. Other topics that will be covered include the understanding of concrete types, materials and equipment used, mix design, jointing and sealing concrete, life cycles and cost analysis, strategies for selecting concrete pavement and restoration and overlays.

Instruction will be provided by the staff of the Missouri/KansasChapter American Concrete Pavement Association, Kansas Ready Mixed Concrete Association, Monarch Cement Co., and South Central Cement Promotion Association.  


Who Should Attend: This course is designed for maintenance crews, foremen and supervisors who have responsibility for providing maintenance on concrete pavements. This also includes county and city engineers, road supervisors, technicians, road and crew members, township trustees, and tribal officials.


This training is presented through the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and the KU Transportation Center.  Funding provided by the Kansas Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration and the University of Kansas.


Registration: The registration fee is $65, and includes lunch, breaks, and workshop materials. To register, complete the registration form, attach the registration fee and return to the KU Transportation Center. DO NOT DELAY submitting your registration form. Refund Policy: The registration fee is refundable if notice of cancellation is received 48 hours prior to the start of the program. Registrants who are unable to attend and do not cancel in advance are subject to the registration fee. Substitutions may be made at any time. Please notify us of changes.
